Reaching Safe and Secure and to be Vigilant....

Last week i was on a pilgrimage to a temple town close to Mysore City...while traveling in the bus i witnessed an accident that had just happened and a crowd had gathered on the roadside of Highway as Bus driver drove the bus slowly and many of bus passengers too saw that accident that has just occurred....it's about a typical village guy who i believe was Milk transporter to some source...this remembered me about(Annamalai...Rajnikanth's movie about a Milk vendor!!!!!) as it was a highway where vehicles travel in high speed and can knock down any kind of vehicles in the transit...As i said the accident was about a Milk dealer or transporter while he was transporting milk on his Cycle, a vehicle had knocked him down and he was fallen in subconscious state and some passerby had lifted him to the grassy side of road and his cycle as totally dismantled and the milk had strewn around on the road....that sight really caused a deep pain in me....

I can assume that he is another small poor village guy who could have a cycle as only source of livelihood....
If he had a high performing two wheeler/motorbike then it would have been a different story all together...

Objective here is to reach the destination safe and secure and with proper resources(Infrastructure).....this incident is going to be an insight for me and for my future work wherever i am....

Indian Produce...Foreign Consumers...

I am upset and with faint heart i continue writing here about exports of Indian food items to foreigners.......

I'll start from Rice and with Basmati Rice just search in net about India's exports of Basmati Rice and u will be shocked(you may) but i am shocked to know that India is exporting this wonderful Rice worth 10000 Crores annually to Rich Indians settled abroad not only BR but other premium rice and other grains, Meats and Fresh fruits and vegetable and other processed foods....
There are dedicated department setup by Indian govt which exports certain commodities like seafood spices grains meats...(eg:APEDA,MPEDA,etc)
As i say BR is exported to feed Rich NRIs who have settled around the world but rarely others eat it...
There are numerous Indian's who have opened Indian restaurants around the world and many cooking websites in net and these websites are run by the wives of Techies(Software Engineers) who have settled around the world especially United States....they are all fond of eating Indian food and would like share their know how to others as well and they all import such items from India while ordinary Indians feel the pinch...
1 kg of premium rice in India is sold between 25 to 30 Rupees while BR is between 60 to 80....there are numerous Meat processing and seafood companies which exports tens and thousands of tonnes of meat(Sheep and Goat) and seafood while we still feel the pinch of paying a KG of mutton for 320 rupees and 1 kg of prawns around 300!!!!!!

Understanding Stock Markets....

Lately I've understood Stock Markets...and i still don't understand what the heck exactly it is....

In almost every news channel or now there are dedicated business channels which keep airing about the what is happening in the stock markets minute by minute...if stock markets looses points it makes headlines in TV and Newspapers and vice versa...

The Biggest funda that i understood about a entrepreuneur who starts his company of a job website runs it day and night with his sweat and blood and when he decides to take his company public ie into stock markets and during that time when it's turnover is approximate 210 crore annually and with a profit of 40 to 50 crores.... suddenly becomes among the richest men in India on the very first day of the company is listed....as Market cap touches approx 5000 crores and his personal net worth approx 2000 crores!!!!!!!

One of our relatives was a happy guy with a small family with a good job and decent income and he too had this fancy about stock markets of investing and making more money....and i was told that this individual invested all his savings into stock market and eventually went bust...it was a total disaster...they had to leave their own house and go live in a rented house for smaller amount while his kids were still in school and college...
If someone loses then someone is gaining..then who it is....

Biryani Business...!

As a Biryani and Kabab lover all i can say is that i have an idea to start my own Restaurant dedicated to Biryanis and Kababs....!!!

I frequently browse the Net on about Biryani and Kabab's latest news and somedays back i came across another Biryani and Kabab fanatic by name Shantanu Ghosh who has his own blog about food and other interests and here he points out that Biryani was brought to India by Muslim Mughals some 500 years back and made it staple here...but i would like to correct him with my some salient points on this topic...

Firstly, The main ingredient in Biryani is Rice....which i say, we Hindus have been growing and eating this grain for thousands of years as our nation is richly endowed in growing them...but you cannot expect Rice Grows in Hilly Afghanistan, Dry Iran(Persia) and Central Asia(from where Mughals came) and Deserty Arabia.....

Secondly, all the world's Civilization since time immemorial have flocked to India for it's valuable Spices....(What Biryani without Spices)....

Thirdly, Meat eating has been part and parcel of Hindus since ancient times...Except Brahmins all other divisions which come below them have been eating meat...

Mixing Rice with spices and meat and vegetables has and have been a age old practice of Hindus as Muslims who are outsiders who came to India and they took fancy of it and made it a staple of theirs and also gave the name as Biryani....
Biryanis are made everywhere in India from Roadside eateries to Five star Hotels and most these are run by Muslims.....Nevertheless today in India it's a Multi Crore Business.....
